Some good coping skills are: meditating on peaceful nature scenes, engaging in nature, cooking or baking, visiting with friends, watching a good television show or movie, listening to soothing or relaxing music, doing some kind of artwork like coloring or drawing, journaling, reading, exercising, practicing breathing exercises, and engaging in pet therapy.
